Q. What is the Fleetwood Motorhome Association
A. FMA is an association for owners of all Fleetwood and American Coach motor homes of any year or vintage. FMA is the official owners' club of Fleetwood RV.

Q. What is the difference between Fleetwood and American Coach?
A. Fleetwood RV is the primary name for Fleetwood and American Coach. The American Coach division of Fleetwood makes the High-Line model of the Fleetwood motor home family. We will refer to all motor homes as Fleetwood in this section.

Q. How long has FMA been organized?
A. The FMA was organized in September 2007.

Q. How many members does FMA have?
A. At the present time the membership is over 4,500 members.

A. Member applications may be found on the FMA website, click on join us and complete the application.

Q. Do I receive a membership card?
A. Yes, a plastic identification card is provided to all members showing your name, membership number, year joined and a list of important telephone numbers of Fleetwood Service and chassis manufactures.

Q. Does the FMA have regional or other type chapters?
A. Yes, the FMA encourages the formation of chapters by state, region and brand of motor home but Chapters can not limit membership by brand of motor home. They must allow any Fleetwood motor home owner to become a member of a Chapter.

Q. What chapters currently exist in the FMA?
A. Currently there are three chapters of FMA. Chapter information will be posted on the FMA website as chapters are formed. You can also find a draft copy of typical chapter by-laws, simply fill in the blanks and send it to the FMA President.

Q. Is Fleetwood RV involved in the management of the FMA?
A. Fleetwood RV is only involved in a support roll and is a great contributor to the Annual National Rally. They have no direct control over the management of FMA.

Q. How is FMA governed?
A. It is an independent 503 C 3 non- profit organization governed by elected officers from the FMA membership consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, one Diesel MH Representative, one Gasoline MH Representative and one Class C Representative.

Q. How often are elections held?
A. The elections take place annually at the National Rally. The offices are for two year terms and they are staggered among the officers.

Q. Does FMA have rallies?
A. There are three planned rallies a year. An Eastern and Western Area rally usually in the months of January to March and a National Rally held in June while schools are out to allow the family to attend.

Q. Where are the rallies held?
A. The Eastern area rally is in FL, Western area rally in western states and the National Rally in the Central U.S.

Q. What do the rallies cost?
A. The rally cost varies based on the location, parking, activities, facilities rental, entertainment and food cost. The FMA does not price the rallies for the purpose of making money, only to cover expenses.

Q. What do these rallies offer?
A. Food, entertainment, parking, seminars, vendors, fellowship and service provided by Fleetwood Technicians as well as suppliers of products that are used in the manufacturing of your motor home.

A. Rally information to include location, rally fee, registration and service request forms can be found on the FMA website.

Q. Is there a charge for motor home service at the rallies?
A. The current policy with Fleetwood is, they service motor homes under warranty first and at no cost for labor or parts. Motor homes that are beyond the warranty period will be serviced based on the Fleetwood service policy listed on our web site.

Q. Can FMA members invite owners of other brands of motor homes to any of the planned rallies?
A. Yes.
Q. Can FMA members invite friends to attend any of the three planned rallies as their guests?
A. Yes. Guests of members must reside in the members coach and a guest fee paid for the rally in order to participate in any rally activities.

Q. Can FMA members bring children/grandchildren to the three planned rallies?
A. Yes. Children and grandchildren of members are encouraged to attend. They must be residing in the members coach and additional fees are required as outlined on the registration form.

Q. Can FMA members invite owners of Fleetwood motor homes that are not members of FMA to the rallies?
A. Yes, FMA does not restrict any Fleetwood motor home owner from coming to the rallies. They are likely to leave the rally with a membership card.

Q. How do I notify the membership Chairperson on a change in address, email address, telephone number or change of motor home?
A. Go on line and fill out a new application with the changes and the FMA data file will be upgraded to reflect your changes. It is important to keep your email address up to date.
